HONOR 200 Pro launched globally with Shape Memory Alloy AF and OIS
HONOR unveiled the HONOR 200 Series line-up during its global launch event in Paris on 12th June 2024 with a specific focus on achieving studio level portrait photography. It is the first time the Pro version of the model is available in Europe. The HONOR 200 Pro comes with a triple 50MP-camera configuration, with the 1/1.3” main camera supported by a Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) AF+OIS single actuator, enhancing autofocus (AF) and optical image stabilisation (OIS) camera performance.
The HONOR 200 Pro boasts advances in AI-powered portrait photography. By partnering with Paris-based studio Harcourt, HONOR have developed an AI portrait engine which enables users to manipulate light and shadows to get the perfect shot. The Triple 50MP Portrait Camera incorporates an upgrade that produces well-balanced portraits that manage exposure in bright areas while preserving intricate details in darker lighting scenarios.

The HONOR 200 Pro features a 50MP Main Camera with a 1/1.3” Super Dynamic H9000 image sensor, f/1.9 aperture and lens shift SMA AF+OIS. The fast focus AF, OIS and support for 4-in-1 pixel binning technology with a pixel size of 2.4μm, means users can capture intricate details in their images, even in low-light scenarios.
In addition, the HONOR 200 Pro includes a 12MP Ultrawide camera with AF, a 50MP selfie shooter and a 50MP, f/2.4 aperture Portrait Telephoto Camera which comes with OIS and a customised telephoto sensor from Sony.
In selecting the SMA Lens Shift AF+OIS actuator in the main camera, HONOR acknowledges the advantage of having both AF and OIS in a single actuator. Using SMA enables fast focus and great quality images in low-light conditions. The excellent DxOMark score of the HONOR Magic6 Pro underlies the quality of the SMA AF+OIS technology and resulting camera performance in HONOR smartphones.
The HONOR 200 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and runs on MagicOS 8.0, with a 5200mAh battery capable of 100W fast charging. The 6.78” full-depth floating quad curved display has a peak brightness of 4000 nits. The HONOR 200 Pro leverages AI also to include features that improve the consumer experience with the display, including PWM dimming, automatic colour temperature adjustments and regulating blue light to improve sleep. The handset is now available to purchase in many global regions, including in China and European markets.
