TECNO launches the PHANTOM V Fold2 5G with Shape Memory Alloy OIS technology from Cambridge Mechatronics

TECNO Mobile has announced its latest folding flagship handsets, the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 5G and the PHANTOM V Flip2 5G. The V Fold2 has a very versatile quad-camera setup: The main camera, ultra-wide camera and 2x optical zoom portrait camera all have a 50MP sensor, complemented by dual 32MP selfie shooters.

The handset is powered by a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset and runs on HiOS 13 Fold, a customized version of TECNO’s software based on Android 14. The outer display features a 6.4” screen which, when unfolded, becomes a 7.85” LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate and 5.5mm thickness. The handset includes a suite of AI functions and a powerful 5750mAh Aircell battery with 70W charging. The PHANTOM V Fold2 can also be paired with a multifunctional light PHANTOM V Pen writing stylus for writing notes, cutouts and calculations. The hinge mechanism has been improved from the first model, allowing smoother unfolding at any angle from 30-120°.

The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 is equipped with a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3" sensor and 1.2µm pixels, and SMA OIS to produce stunning photographs and stable and vibrant videos, even in low light conditions.
